Monterey Fuel Company

Monterey Fuel Company has agreed a long-term extension of its contract with Avfuel for its two FBOs at Monterey Regional Airport – Del Monte Aviation and Monterey Jet Center.

The 10-year extension underpins the strong relationship between the two companies with Monterey Fuel Company’s Vice President, Matt Wright saying: “We are extremely pleased to enter another decade of partnership and sustainable aviation innovation with Avfuel. Our dedication to service and commitment to sustainability align perfectly with Avfuel’s values. This extension allows us to further our efforts in creating a greener environment for the future of aviation.”

Described as a “pioneer” in adopting Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Monterey Jet Center was the first Avfuel Network FBO to consistently provide SAF.

David Mittleman, Avfuel’s Senior Sales Manager said: “By executing a long-term agreement, both organisations are signalling their dedication to long-term initiatives in sustainability and customer care, including furthering the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel. Monterey Fuel Company’s continued support of sustainable practices sets a commendable example for the industry and provides an ideal partner for Avfuel as we continuously work to enhance adoption of sustainable offerings.”

As part of the extended agreement and in line with commitments to make Monterey Regional a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly airport for the future, Monterey Fuel Company and Avfuel will also explore opportunities to further enhance sustainability efforts, including supporting initiatives for hydrogen and electric-powered aircraft.
