To underscore its commitment to decarbonising operations Sonoma Jet Center is hosting a Green Fuel Day Celebration on 18 April, 2024.

Based at Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, the business aviation services provider is collaborating with fuel provider, Avfuel, to host the event and will offer sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at the same price as conventional jet fuel throughout the day.

Josh Hochberg, President of Sonoma Aviation (Sonoma Jet Center’s parent group) said: “Adopting SAF is a crucial step toward ensuring that future generations inherit a passion for aviation and a cleaner environment. We’re proud to facilitate this transition.”

The event also marks the start of Sonoma Aviation’s Green Week, featuring sustainability initiatives at its other location, Carlsbad Jet Center in Carlsbad, California, as well as Sonoma Jet Center.

Commenting on Sonoma Jet Center’s event, David Mittleman, Avfuel’s Senior Sales Manager of the western US said: “This Green Day Fuel Celebration provides a great opportunity to not only further educate the business aviation community, but the community at large on what SAF is and how it’s helping our industry achieve real, measurable sustainability goals.”
