A general aviation reliever airport for John Glenn Columbus International Airport, Ohio State University Airport (KOSU) has joined the Avfuel-branded network.

The Ohio hub is one of three airports owned by a top-tier university in the US and supports the development of future aviation professionals. Located seven miles from Ohio State’s campus and 10 miles from Columbus’s vibrant downtown business district it offers an FBO inside it’s atrium-style terminal, a pilots’ lounge, relaxing day rooms and an indoor observation deck.

“KOSU is a multifaceted facility and an important presence in its region,” said Joel Hirst, SVP of Sales for Avfuel. He also described the airport as a key Central Ohio location as he underlined it can now also take advantage of the online Avfuel Training System.

Mark Fletcher, General Manager of the FBO and Manager of Airport Services, added that he was looking forward to working with Avfuel and embracing its robust offerings.

He said: “This whole airport is a classroom, so the fuel safety training Avfuel makes available is a value-add for our staff and student employees.”
