Situated east of the city of Leeds in the UK, Leeds East Airport is opening with a brand new FBO including a state-of-the-art VIP lounge and featuring Required Navigation Performance (RNP) instrument approach.

Approved by the CAA, the RNP system improves flight safety and provides a full instrument GNSS approach and will be active from 10 August, 2023.

The FBO’s spacious lounge has facilities to hold private meetings as well as a spacious passenger lounge featuring the latest technology. On-site taxi and concierge services are also available for private aviation customers.

Users of the FBO are expected to include private charters, business travellers, football chargers, corporate customers and high net worth individuals. The airport is ideally located to provide access to business and leisure facilities throughout the north of the UK.

Commenting on the opening, Chris Makin said: “Leeds East Airport is now open for business for full Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) traffic. We have spent time and money to ensure that we can offer the finest facilities to operators and customers travelling to the North of England. The newly approved RNP Instrument approach system means that we offer the highest flight safety standards combined with brand new, state-of-the-art FBO facilities. We look forward to offering a warm welcome to operators and passengers arriving and departing from Leeds East Airport.”
