Veovo has introduced its new LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology to its Intelligent Airport Platform. The new technology will use advanced 3D mapping and precise object detection to track and predict wait times, monitor occupancy and manage queues.

LiDAR can cover large areas both inside and outside the airport in a variety of different airport layouts and low-light conditions. The technology seamlessly integrates with Veovo’s cloud-based analytics platform and other sensors such as 3D counters and people counters, enabling the tracking of various moving objects around the airport, from luggage to vehicles.

“With Veovo, airports are no longer bound by hardware limitations,” said James Williamson, CEO, Veovo. “Now operators can choose the perfect mix of sensor technology including LiDAR, for their infrastructure, measurement, and budget needs. They can even incorporate their existing sensors to protect their investments.”
