TUS Airways, is resuming flights between its home base in Larnaca and Tel Aviv in Israel, with effect from 25 January. The service was temporarily paused at the beginning of November 2023, but will resume three times a week initially – with the intention of increasing to a daily service in due course.

Recent years have seen the Cypriot carrier establish itself as a leading carrier between Israel and Cyprus, with TUS Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Philip Saunders, saying: “TUS Airways is delighted to resume services to/from Tel Aviv, one of our most important markets. We have always been committed to serving Tel Aviv and to returning flights just as soon as conditions permitted. Cyprus, loved by Israelis, is now even more accessible – we cannot wait to welcome you back to our Mediterranean paradise.”

The airline also announced plans to resume other links to/ from Tel Aviv to destinations including Paphos and Preveza. The service from Tel Aviv to Larnaca, which will cater for both leisure and business passengers, will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

TUS Airways plans to resume services to/ from Tel Aviv follows the announcement on 10 January that Latvian airline airBaltic is suspending its services to Tel Aviv until 31 March, 2024 “due to the uncertainty related to the current situation in Israel.”
