Senasa, which currently owns Ocaña Airfield has put the facility up for auction with a minimum bid of € 1,060,000.

The airfield, which dates back to 1962 is restricted for public, uncontrolled use, can be used for activities related to the aeronautical and innovation industries, such as general and sport aviation, gliding, UAS (drones), aerial work, construction and manufacturing of aeronautical material and R&D projects in mobility or energy efficiency. It is also a suitable facility for the filming and audiovisual production of commercials and movies or for holding events, as well as a logistics, real estate or leisure center due to its proximity to Madrid.

Covering an area of 379,266 sq.m the airfield has two crossed runways of 1,280 and 700m and a 23,400 sq.m aircraft parking apron. In addition, its airspace has “protected” conditions for the operation of sport aviation and general activities.

Located 60km from Madrid, the airfield features two hangars of 1,600 sq.m as well as 1,871 sq.m hangar offering ample office space as well as the ability to carry out aircraft maintenance.

There is also a 380 sq.m auxiliary hangar for storage; a 400 sq.m fibre and paint shop; a 300 sq.m hangar; a transformer substation; a fuel facility and a meteorological station. An external company owns another hangar which is used for a parachuting school.

In addition, a 3,419 sq.m building accessed by a paved road is currently being used as a students residence, with 43 rooms, classrooms, offices, a bar and a restaurant, swimming pool and gardens.

Escrapalia has been appointed to oversee the sale of the airfield.
