North Queensland Airports, an Australian airport operator, has selected Coupa Software to help advance its business spend management transformation.

NQA, which serves over five million passengers every year, is aiming to create a more seamless and unified procurement process to support the ongoing transformation programme of its spend infrastructure.

Coupa says its Coupa BSM Platform, which includes capabilities such as Procure to Pay and Expense Management, will help NQA to provide procurement teams a user-friendly platform to track and report purchase orders created across the business, improve invoice accuracy while reducing manual processes and enable managers greater visibility into financial commitments.

“Our currently decentralised and manual internal procurement processes led us to look for a system that could be easily adopted across the organisation, and the Coupa BSM Platform delivers on that,” said Mark Hope, chief financial officer at NQA. “We are excited to work with Coupa on our digital transformation programme and look forward to exploring all the platform has to offer, including analytics, supplier management, sourcing, and more.”

The platform is scalable which means as NQA continues to grow it will be able to manage sourcing activities and supplier contracts seamlessly, as well as leverage analysed data-driven insights to help support spend management decisions across the business.

“NQA had identified opportunities for improvement across its existing manual procurement practices, such as visibility into spend and digital organisation of invoice activities,” said Steve Winter, chief revenue officer at Coupa. “We are excited to work with NQA to help them realise the significant benefits automated processes can bring to their business in terms of procurement governance, financial visibility, and operational efficiency.”
