Marking an annual tradition, next Friday (17 November) will see Munich Airport open its Christmas and Winter Market in Europe’s largest covered outdoor space – the Munich Airport Center (MAC) Forum.
Open to both passengers and visitors, the market will run until 31 December and will offer more than 40 stalls including handicrafts, fashion, jewellery, food and drinks, as well as local food and beverages.
There will also be an ice rink, with skates available to hire, featuring regular ice discos and ice sculpting sessions. Other activities will include wreath making, puppet theatre shows and visits from Santa Claus. Bands will also stage live performances every evening from 5pm to 8pm.
The airport will also be offering its popular winter light tours, providing visitors with a behind the scenes look at the brightly lit airport.
