Airport Dimensions is enhancing and personalising the in-lounge experience at Jacksonville International Airport with Connecta – its one stop e-commerce and traveller relationship platform. The new platform, which is called Connecta In-Lounge, has been designed to expand and enhance the passenger experience at the airport’s Club lounge.

Providing new experiences, Connecta In-Lounge is fully customisable and brings together existing facilities into a single mobile experience. It is accessible via a QR code, enabling travellers to pre-order food and beverages, pre-book shower facilities, access a range of digital media including magazines, audio books, daily press and more. It also enables guests to provide their feedback which continually provides satisfaction metrics to further improve the passenger experience in the lounge.

“Our launch of Connecta In-Lounge at Jacksonsville Airport is a significant step forwards for us to converge the physical and digital airport experiences,” said Stephen Hay, Global Strategy Director for Airport Dimensions. “Guests expect services to be accessible at the touch of the screen and they want them increasingly customized around their needs. With lounges once being considered revenue black spots at the airport, Connecta In-Lounge opens up the opportunity for airports to drive new mobile and digital revenue services from travellers when they are happy, relaxed and ready to spend.”

Jeff Taylor, Jacksonville Aviation Authority Properties Manager added: “Customer satisfaction is one of our highest priorities at JAX and embracing new technologies help us to fulfill traveller expectations. Connecta In-Lounge offers passengers a fast and efficient mobile experience when relaxing at The Club JAX.”

The initial focus with the new platform is to enhance the guest experience in the lounge with amenity booking, dining ordering, digital media and customer feedback management. However, given the importance of revenue growth across the airport, the platform also facilitates the development of new revenue services both inside the lounge and across the airport. These include being able to access e-commerce services directly from a customers’ mobile, such as concourse food and beverage, airport services and duty-free retail.

Airport Dimensions plans to roll out Connecta In-Lounge progressively across its lounge network over the next 12 months.
