This year’s Inter Airport Europe Innovation Awards have celebrated exhibitors in four different categories: terminal, data, GSE and sustainability.

The awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday 10 October during the official opening of the event honours the best practices and products that have proven to impress the airport community.

Rohde & Schwarz was declared the winner of the Terminal Award, in recognition of its QPS self-screening solution. Utilising AI-supported posture control, the solution enables passengers to be automatically scanned upon correct positioning, reducing repeated scans and monotonous work routines for security staff. It ensures seamless, contactless self-screening, enhancing the passenger experience.

In the Data category, ISO Software Systeme took the win for its SKYport AOCC, which seamlessly integrates with all operational systems to provide a holistic view of all operational aspects. An incident centric user interface and preconfigured workflows help users easily solve operational incidents and inform all stakeholders.

Electro Max took the win in the GSE category. It’s Airfield Portable Light Marking System POLARIS 2.0. was recognised for its versatile signal lamps with magnetic assembly, resilient materials for all-weather use. It runs on independent or solar-power, communicates via LORA and includes a base station, web app, remote control, video monitoring and weather station.

New for this year is the Sustainability category, for which ChargePoint Germany was declared the winer. It’s comprehensive charging solutions, which allow airports of any size to quickly implement EV solutions, is a cloud-based online platform. It is capable of managing fleets of different types of vehicles, charging stations for EV’s (AC and DC) and an app for drivers.
