Travel technology provider, Ink Innovation, has formed a strategic partnership with airport software specialist, Azinq, that will enable it to expand its airport solutions capability.

Azinq’s Airport Hive suite is a set of applications heralding a new wave of Airport Management Systems, especially for replacing Airport Operational Databases (AODB).

“Airports are often restricted by legacy technologies, making it costly and difficult to facilitate the connected journey demanded by today’s traveller,” said Blaine Powell, Chief Sales Officer of Ink. The collaboration between Ink and Azinq will offer airports a full turnkey solution enabling them to innovate and move away from legacy systems by providing an integrated offering of Airport Hive and Ink Cloud to replace Airport Management Systems and existing Common Use systems.

“Our collaboration with Azinq enables airports to more easily unify data across the operation, to drive better decision-making and imporved quality of service,” continued Powell. “Uniquely, the combined platforms also help airports to differentiate by readying themselves for the Offer-Order enabled airlines of tomorrow.”

The two companies’ cloud-based platforms make their solutions quick and cost-effective to install and manage. The collaboration enables smart airport operations while helping reduce operational costs and unlock non-aviation revenue through advanced retailing capabilities.

Chris Tyalor, Managing Partner at Azinq concluded: “We embrace event-driven microservice and API technology for seamless integration, unmatched flexibility, and top-tier scalability. Our aim is to boost operational efficiency, foster collaboration, help monetise data and elevate passenger experiences. We feel this exciting partnership with Ink is a natural fit for us.”
