The French Ministry of Global Environmental Transformation has announced that the French authorities have allocated €300 million to support the country’s airports amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the ministry officials, the funds will be allocated to cover the costs of airports in order to “avoid any impact on the way out of the crisis of airlines.” In addition, employees of the passenger airlines will be paid partial unemployment benefits until September 2o20.

Meanwhile, in French overseas territories, new provisions adapted to the current situation of the coronavirus have been agreed. All passengers arriving in overseas territories will be required to pass a coronavirus test, however, the mandatory quarantine will be cancelled.
