Indiana’s South Bend International Airport (SBN) is set to welcome additional flights with United Airlines ahead of some big University of Notre Dame football games this autumn.

Additional services to/ from South Bend will be served to airports including Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport and Charlottesville-Albermarle Airport in Virginia, Los Angeles International, North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Atlanta Airport.

“We are excited to welcome football fans back to South Bend,” said Mike Daigle, CEO and Executive Director at SBN. “United’s commitment to get fans to and from home and away games adds to the excitement of the return of college football.”

A multi-modal transport hub typically catering for more than 1 million air and rail passengers per annum pre-COVID, SBN ‘s total annual economic impact on South Bend and surrounding communities was more than $1.7 billion according to the 2012 Economic Impact Report from the state aviation association, Aviation Indiana.
