Gainesville Regional Airport in Florida, US is looking forward to increased frequency of American Airlines flights with Dallas-Fort Worth. The service, which was reduced as a result of COVID-19 will increase to a twice-daily nonstop service from 5 June. The link will be served by an Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft with a 76-seat capacity, as well as a 76-79 seat Canadair RJ-900 aircraft.

The route also provides passengers travelling from Gainesville with access to American Airlines’ network of 96 unique destinations that aren’t served by the existing American Airlines hubs of Charlotte and Miami. These include Honolulu and Kahului/ Maui in Hawaii; Anchorage in Alasksa; San Jose in California and Redmond in Oregon. International destinations include Tokyo in Japan and Seoul in South Korea.

“The Dallas route has been extremely popular with our travellers and they have very much missed the convenience and options when the frequency diminished,” said Allan Penksa, CEO Gainesville Regional Airport. “Having two flights on a nicely sized aircraft, offering first class and other amenities, provides our business and leisure travellers with the sorts of options and flexibility they long for.”
