With Smart Airports & Regions Conference & Exhibition launching its inaugural South Africa event next week (20-22 February) in Cape Town, airport leaders from across the continent and further afield will be gathering to explore how airports and their regions are leveraging ‘connectivity’ to stimulate innovation and opportunity.

Up to 200 senior level attendees and decision makers are expected to attend this year’s event to explore airport design, construction and development, commercial development, real estate and non-aeronautical revenue, as well as technology, innovation, passenger experience and customer service.

Regional Gateway Editor, Chloe Greenbank, will be moderating a panel discussion on airport revenue recovery. The panel will discuss how airports are embracing c-commerce and adapting their business model, to the changes in passenger behaviour, how the F&B offering has changed and reimagining the customer experience and the need to diversify revenue streams.
