Mediterranean carrier Air Corsica is expanding its destination network this summer with a non-stop service to the French island of Corsica from Göteborg Landvetter in Sweden.

The airline first unveiled a new air link between Gothenburg and Bastia (in Corsica) in early 2020, however due to the pandemic the launch was postponed. This summer will see Corsica’s largest airline establish the non-stop service to the Mediterranean’s fourth largest island for eleven weeks during the summer.

The route will operated once a week on Saturdays between Goteborg Landvetter Airport and Bastia Airport from 11 June to 20 August. It will be flown with an Airbus A320neo with a 2.5 hour flight time and the majority of seats chartered by Swedish tour operator Langley.

Meanwhile, at Stockholm Arlanda the German low-cost carrier, Eurowings, which already provides a link to Hamburg and Dusseldorf, is expanding its operations at the Swedish hub. It is opening a base in March and will be adding direct routes to Larnaca in Cyprus and Mkyonos in Greece for its summer 2022 programme.
