Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is strengthening its presence in North America with the addition of a link between the coastal city of Agadir in Morocco and Stockholm Arlanda in Sweden.

For the first time since spring 2019, the once weekly route will offer passengers a non-stop service using a fuel-efficient Airbus A3320neo, with the first departure taking place on 4 November 2023.

Located near the foot of the Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco, Agadir offers long sandy beaches and a comfortable winter climate, making it a popular destination with Europeans during the winter months.

“We see great potential for scheduled service to Agadir,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia, which operates Stockholm Arlanda. “There is growing demand from both holidaymakers and travellers flying to visit friends and family. SAS’s investment in Agadir, is a welcome addition that boosts the offering at the airport as well as connectivity to the region.”
