Flights between Liverpool John Lennon (LJLA) and Shannon in the west of Ireland will return this weekend with Ryanair departing from its latest route from Liverpool on Saturday evening.

The low-fare Irish carrier already operates flights from Liverpool to Dublin (four times daily), Knock (five times weekly) and Cork (four times weekly). Flights last operated to Shannon from Liverpool in 2014 and Ryanair’s new service will be operated three times weekly on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays until the end of October.

Commenting on the new service, Robin Tudor, Head of PR for LJLA said:

This latest addition to Ryanair’s growing network of routes from Liverpool brings a welcome return of flights to Shannon linking Liverpool to this part of Ireland once again, with passengers from across the North West able to take advantage of a faster, easier, friendlier start to their journey by flying direct from Liverpool.
