UAS International Trip Support is advising those attending the Qatar World Cup, which is taking place in Doha from 20 November to 18 December, to avoid disappointment by securing airport slots and accommodation as soon as possible.

The customised trip support solutions provider is attending NBAA-BACE taking place in Orlando, Florida this week from where it has underlined that slots and travel capacity for this year’s World Cup are restricted. The international governing body of football, FIFA, is predicting in the region of 1.2 million football fans will travel to Qatar to attend matches throughout the tournament. Air traffic volumes are expected to put huge pressure on slot availability at Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport.

“World Cup ticket holders don’t have any time to waste to plan their World Cup experience,” said UAS Operations Director, James Collas. “There are so many options that include direct operations to Qatar or travelling via neighbouring Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE.”

With the UAS Operations team in Dubai poised to customise trip support, air charter and executive travel solutions, Collas added: “It’s the first time the Middle East plays host to the World Cup and the demand for permits, slots, ground handling and other related services is massive. UAS has been established in the Middle East since 2000 and has the regional knowledge, experience and expertise to ensure you have the best chance of obtaining the permissions you need to make your trip possible.”
