Travelex has extended a series of contracts across key UK travel hubs, including Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
The company says the renewal at John Lennon Airport comes as it celebrates its busiest ever year of operations, having served a record-breaking 5.6 million passengers in 2025. Lucy O’Shaughnessy, Commercial Director at Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented: “Convenient access to purchase all major currencies remains a key part of the airport offer for our passengers, and we are therefore delighted to extend our long-standing agreement with Travelex.”
According to Travelex, it currently operates two stores and 12 ATMs across the airport, where customers can walk up and purchase all major currencies, as well as collect pre-ordered travel money on the day of their trip, or buy and top up a pre-paid Travelex Travel Money Card.
When it comes to Edinburgh Airport, Travelex has extended its contract until 2030, having first launched services in 2021. Travelex currently operates five stores and a mobile on-the-move kiosk alongside twelve ATMs at the airport, both airside and landside across arrivals and departures.
Linsey Jordan, Head of Retail at Edinburgh Airport said: “We want passengers to enjoy a smooth and stress-free start to their journey, and having convenient access to foreign currency plays an important role in that. Travelex continues to deliver for our passengers, and we’re delighted to extend our partnership.”
Jacqueline Kelleher, Travelex, Managing Director – UK commented: “We’re delighted to be extending our long-standing partnerships with some of the UK’s busiest and most iconic travel gateways and retail destinations.
“These renewals are a testament to our strong relationships and reputation, and endorse the value we deliver to our partners and customers alike. 2026 is especially important as we celebrate our 50th year of operations and focus on our next phase of strategic growth.”
