With inter airport Europe 2025 marking its 25th edition this year, trending themes at the event’s Focus Conference will include AI and automation, digitalisation, the passenger experience, sustainability and workforce strategies.
The three-day event, which is taking place from 7-9 October at the Munich Messe in Germany, will see 25 conference sessions taking place to complement the products, services and solutions being showcased in the main exhibition hall.
“With an impressive line=up of aviation industry experts, together we will be tackling the industry’s major challenges and opportunities,” said Syreeta Tranfield, Event Director at RX Global, inter airport’s organisers.
“We will also look at where impressive projects and results are being achieved.”
Attendees can find out how airports are achieving net-zero targets through the sustainability themed panel sessions with speakers from Bologna Airport, To70 and SACBO. While in the technology and innovation track, speakers will explore AI optimisation, robotics and how digitalisation is redefining airport operations from baggage handling and passenger processing and ground services and turnaround procedures.
Laila Odina, Chairperson of the Board at Riga Airport will address the impact of the geopolitical situation on the airport community, as part of the risk management and contingency planning track. Meanwhile, to address the shortage of skilled workers coming into the sector, panellists will look at recruiting and retaining the future workforce as well as how to create a more accessible and inclusive sector both for passengers and staff.
Regional Gateway editor, Chloe Greenbank, will be moderating three panel sessions at this year’s inter airport Europe so do some along and listen in:
