Swedavia has announced that in February, just over 2.2 million passengers travelled through its 10 airports in Sweden, with air travel increased by seven per cent compared to February 2025, strengthening both international and domestic travel. Domestic travel increased by an impressive nine per cent.
According to Swedavia, Visby Airport, followed by Umeå Airport, developed the strongest growth among the regional airports, with increases of 24 and 16 per cent respectively compared with the same month last year. The company says that Kiruna Airport and Luleå Airport exceeded pre-pandemic passenger volumes, which both saw increases of two per cent.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport had just over 1.6 million passengers in February. The airport’s international travel increased by seven per cent to nearly 1.3 million passengers, while domestic travel increased by eight per cent to just over 330,000 passengers.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport welcomed 334,000 passengers during February, which represents an increase of two per cent compared with the same month last year.
