Avfuel Corporation, a supplier of aviation fuel and services, has become the fuel provider for Sugar Land Regional Airport and GlobalSelect, the airport’s Fixed Base Operator (FBO). The agreement comes in advance of a predicted uptake in traffic due to the FIFA World Cup, with the location acting as an Official Houston World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter. Over 500,000 people are expected to travel through the area for the event.
Sugar Land Regional Airport is located 25 miles from downtown Houston, acting as a gateway to the area. GlobalSelect offers a full-service FBO at the site, with a 20,000 square-foot facility offering a café, an executive lounge, three conference rooms, U.S. Customs, a crew lounge, and a hotel shuttle service. Outside, the airfield offers hangar space for sizes up to a Gulfstream G800 or similar aircraft.

By being a part of the Avfuel Network, the FBO will be able to offer AVTRIP rewards for customers and competitive pricing with Avfuel Contract Fuel.
