KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has celebrated five years of serving Southampton Airport in the UK.
Having launched operations at the regional airport in 2020, KLM has provided passengers from the region with access to its extensive global network via its hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
“We are delighted to celebrate five successful years at Southampton Airport,” said Jerome Salemi, General Manager for Air France-KLM UK & Ireland.
“This milestone highlights our commitment to the region. We look forward to continuing our support for international travel, as well as our contribution to the local economy and inbound tourism for many more years to come.”
Demand from travellers flying from Southampton has included destinations such as the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark and France. Meanwhile, long-haul destinations include the US, UAE, Hong Kong, Ghana, Nigeria, Brazil and Canada.
Salemi was joined by Jonathan Ford, Portfolio Manager at AGS Airports which operates Southampton, who said: “We’re incredibly proud to mark five years of KLM operations at Southampton Airport.
