Threat detection and security screening leader, Smiths Detection, is integrating BigBear.ai’s threat detection products in its X-ray screening equipment to accelerate the adoption of Open Architecture (OA) security solutions.
Part of Smiths Detection’s Ada Initiative, which was launched in 2022 to drive the development and implementation of responsible OA, the collaboration will enhance security and improve travel experiences across airports as well as seaports and borders worldwide. The use of OA enables hardware, software and algorithms from different product suppliers to be plugged together, enhancing security outcomes.
