Virgin Atlantic passengers travelling from the US and Canada will benefit from easy onward connections with SAS via London Heathrow and Manchester to Stockholm, Olso, Copenhagen, Stavanger and Bergen. Similarly, SAS passengers will benefit from Virgin Atlantic’s wider network which includes destinations across the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia.
The announcement follows SAS joining SkyTeam, at the beginning of September and a codeshare agreement with American carrier, Delta, to improve connectivity between North America and Scandinavia. Earlier in October, the airline also shared that it had partnered with Braathens Regional Airways (BRA) and will be launching several key routes in Sweden in early 2025.
Commenting on this latest codeshare agreement, Virgin Atlantic’s CCO Juha Jarvinen, said: “We are delighted to launch a codeshare with our SkyTeam partners at SAS, enhancing our connectivity and offering greater customer benefits to our frequent flyers.”
