Biometric-based solutions provider, Idemia Public Security is collaborating with Matarat, which manages 27 airports across Saudi Arabia, to drive operational excellence, enhance the passenger experience and lead the digital transformation of Saudi’s airports.

The agreement aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and reflects Matarat’s vision to drive innovation and smart airport solutions.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organisations will focus on several key areas: seamless passenger journeys, airport digital transformation, expertise and innovation and advanced platform development.

Integral to the seamless passenger journeys will be the implementation of advanced biometric and digital identity solutions. Meanwhile, the digital transformation of airports will boost efficiency, security and the overall traveller experience, while co-operation on the technical development of Matarat’s electronic platforms will support a modernised, integrated aviation infrastructure.
