Ryze to suply ZeroAvia with Hydrogen

Clean fuel supplier Ryze is partnering with ZeroAvia to provide hydrogen at the greentech company’s Cotswold Airport base in the UK.

The deal, which will see hydrogen being provided for use in engine and flight testing, underlines the growing infrastructure in the hydrogen sector. Sergey Kiselev, Chief Business Officer at ZeroAvia said: “Supply of cost-effective, clean hydrogen is integral in meeting our ambitions for unlocking zero-emission flight and this partnership with Ryze will help us advance our testing and journey to certification.”

He was joined by Alex Webster, Head of Business Development at Ryze, who added: “This partnership with ZeroAvia is another important milestone for both Ryze and ZeroAvia and cements the ambition of both businesses to make real, tangible headway towards a hydrogen economy both in the UK and globally.”

The regular deliveries of hydrogen to ZeroAvia’s testing site at Cotswold Airport in Cirencester, will help the hydrogen-electric powertrain pioneer progress its flight test programme to meet the certification requirements for its ZA600 engine, to power a 20-seat aircraft.

Ryze’s tube trailer fleet, the largest available fleet by capacity in the UK, will help ensure flexibility to support ZeroAvia as it ramps up research and testing on its powertrain.
