The hotel features 74 capsules, with a minimum stay of one hour, and offers self-check-in and check-out, Kepler TV with Netflix, YouTube, and cable channels, and smart bathroom facilities. The capsules also include personal tablets, where guests can view flight information, place orders from KeplerShop, communicate with the hotel reception and shop duty-free. Outside of the pods, the hotel provides shower facilities including towels, locker rooms, laundry services and a lounge. The lounge has free wireless internet, tea, coffee, and water for all passengers, as well as PS5 and arcade games in the departure passenger area.
“We are pleased to enhance Riga Airport’s range of offers with a unique service for the Baltic region – the first capsule hotel,” said Artūrs Saveļjevs, Member of the Board of RIX Riga Airport. “As passenger numbers continue to grow, we are always looking for ways to improve our service level and explore new opportunities for passenger experience and comfort. The Kepler Club offer will be especially appreciated by travellers for whom Riga is a stopover point for their onward flights, as well as those with early morning or late evening flights. This new service is important for Riga and Riga Airport as a regional air hub, and it also strengthens Riga’s position as a Northern European travel hub.”
The hotel is comprised of a zone for passengers who have not yet passed security and been issued a boarding pass, and a zone for passengers in the departure passenger area who are waiting for flights. Men’s, women’s, and family cabins are available.
“Riga is the first stop in the Baltics and Europe for the Turkish hotel operator Kepler. We chose Riga after evaluating the impressive development of Riga Airport and its future plans,” said Omer Alaettinoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Kepler. “Latvia is a safe and stable place for growth, showing positive trends in passenger aviation development, with a well-educated, multilingual workforce available. We see Riga Airport as the region’s travel hub.”
The company also has two hotels at Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia and accommodation services at Turkey’s Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
