The flights, which will be operated twice weekly, mark the carrier’s third destination from RNO since the airline resumed operations there in March this year.
The low-fare airline currently operates flights from Reno to Las Vegas and Denver.
“Seeing Frontier expand its service from RNO so quickly after its return is a great sign of the strength of our market,” said Daren Griffin, President/ CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
“With three carriers now offering nonstop flights to Phoenix, our travellers benefit from more competition, more choices and better connectivity for business and leisure travel.”
The new service will provide passengers travelling from Reno-Tahoe with access to Phoenix’s thriving arts and cultural scene as well as its year-round sports attractions.
“We are excited to soon begin offering our ultra-low fare flights from Reno to Phoenix, which offers many connecting opportunities to destinations beyond,” said Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design, at Frontier Airlines.
