Porter Airlines is launching several flights from Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET), located in Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore.
The airline has now begun operating the Vancouver, Toronto-Pearson, Toronto-City, and St. John’s, N.L. routes from Montreal Metropolitan Airport and says that with the airport being close to downtown Montreal, this will meaningfully contribute to increasing air access to the city.
Porter is introducing flights to 11 airports across the country from MET. The airport will be served by Porter’s fleet of De Havilland Dash 8-400s (78 seats) and Embraer E195-E2s (132 seats), which the carrier says are among the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in their respective classes.
“Starting new routes is something that we often do, but launching 11 at once from a new airport to transform a city’s connectivity is exceptional,” commented Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines.
