Triple-1-Three has collaborated with Delaware North to develop and deliver a new ‘Otherside Brewlounge’ in Perth Airport’s Terminal 2. The lounge, inspired by Otherside’s Myaree-based Otherside Brewhouse, is set to open in the middle of 2023.
The Brewlounge will have features like the Otherside Tycoons programme, which offers locals the opportunity to ‘own a bit of a brewery’ as well as a rolling programme of Otherside’s experimental brew releases, with the option to order and have Otherside brews delivered to customer’s homes.
“We wanted to challenge the norm and create something really special for Perth Airport,” said James Legge, Managing Director, Otherside. “The T2 opportunity is unique in that it has regular FIFO travellers. So, for them, we want to create a place that really is theirs, that becomes their local on the way to their destination, while also offering other regional travellers something truly unique and memorable.”
“An opportunity arose to partner with Delaware North, and naturally, we leapt at it and it’s so great to see it come to fruition,” added Legge.
The new lounge will also celebrate local talent in music and arts, showcasing local live music and local visual artists through its ‘Tapped by Otherside’ funding programme, which will invite local artists to submit works for consideration to feature at the location.
In addition, live sports viewing will be available at the venue through its state of the art audio/visual elements, which can be enjoyed by travellers and frequenting FIFO workers alike.
