Perth Airport will welcome a Gaming Point Virtual Reality (VR) Lounge in May, following a concession agreement with Travel Point Group. The VR Lounge will be the first Gaming Point situated in an airport.

The Gaming Point will include a VR escape room for up to five players per 30 to 45 minute session, which will offer a choice of eight separate games. The lounge will also offer a range of high speed internet gaming stations connected to the steam network, which will allow visiting gamers to connect to their own accounts during gameplay.

Rebecca Cook, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Perth Airport, welcomed the Gaming Point to the airport’s expanded new products and services portfolio and looks forward to the upcoming partnership with Point Group.

The new gaming lounge will be located at Terminal One International, Level One ahead of Customs and Security Screening. Its services will be accessible with extended trading hours to all Domestic and International Arriving or Departing Passengers in the T1/T2 Airport precinct, as well as the general public.

“Point Group is in advanced discussions with many major airports around the globe,” said Graeme Stewart, Director, Point Group, “to deliver exciting new experiential offers using virtual reality and high-speed gaming facilities at airports and are so pleased to have finalized the agreement with Perth Airport.”
