Nice Cote d’Azur has become the first french airport to offer detailed terminal maps with Apple Maps, providing passengers with an innovative tool to navigate through the airport and find what they are looking for.

Indoor positioning provides an instant view of where a passenger is in the terminal which in turn will help them navigate their way to their next location, as well as provide information on nearby shops and restaurants. Information will be regularly updated as new establishments open.

“We are not only proud to be the first airport in France to offer this live, multilingual geolocation solution to our passengers – we are also convinced that it is essential to provide an increasingly seamless and effortless digital experience for connected travellers who want it” said Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, Dominique Thillaud.

This latest innovation is part of the airport’s wider policy to provide an enhanced, seamless passenger experience, as passengers can plan their journey to and through the airport in advance of arriving.

In addition to providing a detailed map of inside the terminal, the app also enables passengers to check traffic, reserve parking and purchase no-queue passes to quickly access security checkpoints, as well as purchase in the terminal’s shops before boarding and collect their shopping on their return to the airport.
