SSP Group has expanded its food and beverage offering at Glasgow Prestwick Airport with the opening of a new bar and kitchen, Par + Eagle.

SSP Group, an operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, said the new restaurant pays homage to Prestwick’s rich golfing heritage and is the “ideal spot to relax and grab a bit to eat before boarding your flight.”

Zoe Kilpatrick, commercial director at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, said: “We’re thrilled to have worked with SSP to create a new bar and restaurant area in our departure lounge. This significant investment from SSP has created a modern environment for our passengers to enjoy the high-quality menu and service the Par + Eagle offers before they head off to one of our holiday hotspots.”

Morning travellers can choose from a varied breakfast menu featuring breakfast favourites, as well as a selection of light choices. The all-day menu offers a wide range of pub classic and house specials, including Loaded Burgers, Southern Fried Chicken and Beer Battered Fish and Chips, while a wide variety of local draft beers, wines and cocktails are also available.

“We’re delighted to have opened our new Par + Eagle concept at Glasgow Prestwick Airport,” said Simon Smith, CEO of SSP UK & Ireland. “It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy hearty, wholesome food in a friendly and relaxed environment.”

Par + Eagle also offers vegan and vegetarian options, with various portion sizes to suit everyone, as well as a “generous” children’s menu.
