Big Island Jet Center

Located at Kailua-Kona’s Ellison Onizuka Kona Airport in Hawaii, Big Island Jet Center, has achieved a major milestone, having sold its one millionth gallon of fuel this July. The FBO opened just seven months ago in December 2023 with a temporary facility, the permanent terminal slated to be finished in Q3, 2025.

“We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment especially in such a short amount of time,” said Tom Owen, general manager of Big Island Jet Center. “Our temporary facility has been incredibly well-received, and we are excited about what the future will bring. The BIJC team is honoured to serve its community and is humbled by the opportunity to continue fuelling guests’ adventures each day.”

To enhance the focus on a resort-style customer experience, Big Island Jet Center’s new terminal will provide a Pacific oasis showcasing the “Aloha spirit”, while providing cutting-edge amenities and services, including stylish waiting areas and well-appointed restrooms. There will also be office space available to lease.

An Avfuel-branded location, the FBO’s temporary facility offers more than nine acres of parking space and planeside vehicle access; a 50,000 gallon jet fuel storage facility; indoor and outdoor passenger seating ; a pristine lobby and full services, including ground handling, towing, USDA inspections and catering.
