Lane Aviation, a third-generation fixed base operator (FBO) that has served the central Ohio area since 1935, has joined the Avfuel network.
The change took effect on 28 July, meaning that as an Avfuel-branded FBO, Lane Aviation now offers customers access to Avfuel Contract Fuel and the AVTRIP customer rewards programme.
Having supported aircraft owners and operators at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (KCMH) since 1935, today the company remains family-owned under the leadership of Executive Vice President, Stastia Spence, whose grandparents, Foster and Ruth Lane, founded the business.
Spence said: “I was introduced to aviation at a young age, flying alongside my grandfather. He always kept a stack of phone books in his office so he could prop me up high enough to see over the dashboard of whichever Cessna we were flying. Learning to fly was simply part of growing up in my family. While I didn’t initially envision myself working in the family business, a part-time job at Lane Aviation when I was 21 gave me an appreciation for the energy of the airport and, more importantly, the relationships we build with our employees and customers.
