The Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for disabled people has teamed up with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to produce a film that provides wheelchair users, especially powered wheelchair users, information and insights about travelling by air and the support available.
The film – Your Guide to Flying with a Disability – follows Jon and his father through every aspect of their journey, highlighting what’s involved and useful links to more information.
From preparing and planning for a flight to what’s involved at the departure airport, aircraft and seat transfer, as well as inflight services, to landing, disembarking and arrivals, the film has been designed to instill confidence in passengers with reduced mobility.
