NAV Portugal team NAV Portugal has accepted ADB SAFEGATE’s advanced Multi-Sensor Data Fusion System at Lisbon and Porto ATC Towers. The company has been in a partnership with ADB SAFEGATE since 2007 and first integrated its Multi-Sensor Data Fusion System at Lisbon in 2009, followed by Porto. NAV Portugal then installed ADB SAFEGATE’s Electronic Flight Strip System (EFSS) at Lisbon Tower in 2017.

“The implementation of ADB SAFEGATE’s enhanced Multi-Sensor Data Fusion solution reinforces NAV Portugal’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance,” said Pedro Ângelo, CEO NAV Portugal.

In the new agreement, the original Data Fusion System has been replaced with a 64-bit Multi-Sensor Data Fusion System that is compliant with EUROCAE ED-87E standards. This upgrade, part of ADB SAFEGATE’s OneControl Surveillance Service, integrates ADS-B aircraft feeds and supports Conspicuity Codes in accordance with EU Regulation 1206/2011, providing high-precision tracking and enhanced situational awareness for air traffic controllers.

“We are proud to support NAV Portugal with our data fusion solutions,” commented Gonzalo Moreno-Muñoz, VP Tower at ADB SAFEGATE. “This upgrade reflects our shared commitment to advancing tracking technologies for safer and more efficient air traffic management.”
