Porter Airport

Canada’s Montréal Saint-Hubert Airport has welcomed Porter Airlines’ announcement that it is investing in a new terminal at the airport. Construction will begin in 2023 and is scheduled for completion by late 2024.

The development of the airport’s terminal follows the successful 17 year revitalisation of Porter’s Toronto hub, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. The airline’s commitment to this airport was a catalyst for route development and infrastructure improvement. It has served more than 3 million passenger annually, across in excess of 20 routes with $3 billion of economic impact.

The new terminal investment will result in over 500 permanent jobs. It will have nine aircraft gates, a modern-design aesthetic and will be a net-zero facility, with building systems to operate fully on electric power.

Commenting on the investment Yanic Roy, Managing Director at Montréal Saint-Hubert Airport said: “This new partnership will provide world-class air services to the Greater Montréal population and the Québec regions. It will be a key item for the development of the Longueuil aerospace cluster.”
