Regional carrier Porter Airlines has been named as the launch carrier for the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET) from 15 June 2026, with 12 routes to operate from the site across Canada. The airport is located in Longueuil and used to be known as Saint-Hubert Airport. Fitting in with Porter’s signature elevated experience offering, the new airport offers a modern terminal, developed and operated by YHU Infrastructure Partners.

The 12 routes from MET are: Quebec City,  St. John’s, Toronto City, Toronto Pearson, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Halifax, Charlottetown, Winnipeg, Moncton, and Hamilton. Porter will serve the routes with the 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 and the 132-seat Embraer E195-E2.

“The new MET terminal development represents an exceptional private investment in transportation infrastructure that Greater Montreal will benefit from for generations,” said Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines. “Porter is bringing a wide range of flight options to the airport, along with a genuine commitment to the community. Our philosophy is to treat everyone with care and this is perfectly complemented by the overall travel experience passengers will enjoy at MET. We are eager to begin this journey with an unprecedented amount of new service.”

Porter recently announced a partnership with Pascan, a regional airline based at MET, to allow passengers to book a single ticket to cover multiple legs across the two airlines.

“As Porter prepares to begin operations at MET, passengers will quickly notice a different kind of airport experience,” commented Charles Roberge, president and CEO, YHU Infrastructure Partners. “The terminal has been designed to make every step before boarding simpler, faster and more comfortable — from arrival at the Terminal to the gate. With its compact layout and a simple, streamlined passenger flow, travellers can move through the terminal with ease and spend more time relaxing before their flight. Together with Porter’s elevated onboard service, this creates a seamless and refreshing travel experience.”
