Eurowings, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, inaugurated its new service between Hannover and Milan Bergamo Airport

Eurowings inaugurated a new service between Hannover in Germany and Milan Bergamo in Italy on Monday 6 May. The flights, which will be operated on the airline’s Airbus A320 fleet, will be operated initially twice per week, increasing to four times a week in September.

The addition of Hannover complements Eurowings’ existing operations between Dusseldorf and Milan Bergamo, further expanding the airport’s network and offering more flexible travel options to passengers.

The German city of Hannover is renowned for hosting major international trade fairs and the new connection will provide crucial links for professionals and exhibitors travelling to events from Northern Italy. In addition, the service will open up the potential for tourism, cultural exchange and economic collaboration between the two cities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eurowings’ new flight from Hannover, which marks another significant step in our ongoing efforts to enhance international connectivity and support the local economy,” said Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO. “This service will be a vital link for business professionals and strengthens our position as a key gateway to Northern Italy.”

Milan Bergamo now offers comprehensive connectivity to Germany with flights to eight different destinations, encompassing a total of 46 weekly flights. In addition to Hannover, this network includes links with Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Karlsruhe Baden/ Baden, Frankfurt, Hahn and Weeze.
