Global aviation logistics provider, Menzies Aviation, has become the latest signatory to Unit Load Device (ULD) CARE’s Code of Conduct – the industry’s gold standard benchmark for the safe and efficient operation of ULDs in flight cargo. ULD CARE is a trade association of the ULD community and promotes direction as well as delivering appropriate change in ULD operations throughout the global air cargo operating environment.
Derived from the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA’s) regulations, the ULD CARE Code of Conduct sets the standard for all ULD handling and operations. Established in 2018, it provides the industry with clear instructions and guidance to ensure safe and efficient operations including responsible handling, in-flight safety, damage-free handling and storage, safe transport, serviceability, stability, reporting, due skill and proper training.
