Lufthansa Technik and MacroAsia Corporation joint venture Lufthansa Technik Philippines has broken ground on its new base maintenance facility at Clark International Airport.
The widebody MRO services facility at Clark International will be built on a 157,000-square-metre site and will complement the company’s current presence in Manila. It will significantly expand Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ base maintenance capacity and will offer a paint shop and workshops for non-destructive testing.
According to Lufthansa Technik Philippines, the company specialises in MRO operations for the Airbus A330, A340 and A380 as well as Boeing 777 aircraft. The company intends to add the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787 to its portfolio with the additional facility at Clark International.
