The Loomex Group has been chosen to manage the Dryden Regional Airport in Ontario, Canada, entering into a contract with the City of Dryden.

The regional airport opened in 1969 and serves the City of Dryden and the surrounding area. Bearskin Airlines provides scheduled air services at the airport, while MAG Aerospace Canada provides charter services, hangar space and aircraft maintenance.

The Loomex Group currently operates five other airports in Ontario and Western Canada, also providing services to airports and municipalities across Canada. In managing Dryden Regional Airport, the company will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective operations of the airport, with priority projects including developing business and strategic plans to move the airport forward into the future.

“The airport is an important asset for the community, and we are excited to work with Loomex to carry on and enhance the great work the current management team has conducted” said Roger Nesbitt, CAO of the City of Dryden.

The handover will take place in December when the long-term airport manager Norm Sanders retires.

Trent Gervais, President and CEO of The Loomex Group commented: “We understand the operations, appreciate the hardworking airport staff, love the community and see great potential in the airport. Our team is excited to hit the ground running.”

The Loomex Group has a focus on airport operations, emergency management, safety management and other municipal services. The group has had a long-term partnership with Dryden in training and emergency exercises.
