To mark its third anniversary serving Cardiff Wales Airport, Loganair has launched an online competition for followers to win a pair of free tickets on its link between the Welsh city and Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.
The UK’s largest regional carrier is the only airline operating flights between the two cities. More than 55,000 customers have flown on the route for both business and leisure since it started in 2021.
Spencer Birns, CEO of Cardiff Wales Airport said: “It’s been amazing to see customers enjoy the advantages of using the Loganair flights, connecting two great countries in the UK. These convenient flights help families and businesses stay connected.”
He was joined by Loganair’s CCO, Luke Lovegrove, who added: “It’s extremely rewarding to be celebrating this special milestone with Cardiff Wales Airport.” Describing the service as offering vital connectivity between two significant regional cities and supporting leisure and business travel, he continued, “more than half of customers are travelling for leisure purposes and spend two or three days at their destination, helping to grow visitor numbers for both Scotland and Wales.”
Loganair is one of 15 airlines serving Cardiff Wales Airport with 33 direct routes available from the regional hub, which typically drives over £200 million of economic benefit to Wales each year.
