Suparna Airlines is now operating regular scheduled flights between Chongqing Jiangbei Airport in China and Liege Airport in Belgium.
The new air link marks the first-ever direct air cargo connection between Liege and Chongqing. The new route is a key strategic addition to Liege Airport’s cargo network and establishes an important air corridor between Europe’s biggest freighter hub and Western China.
“We are proud to welcome Suparna Airlines to Liege Airport and to launch our first direct scheduled connection with Chongqing,” said Torsten, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Liege Airport.
He added that Chongqing is an “important new addition to our network and further confirms Liege’s role as the most trusted and efficient gateway between China and Europe.”
A major logistics and e-commerce hub in Western China, Chongqing plays a critical role in global supply chains. It supports the transport of e-commerce goods, high-tech products, automotive components and industrial cargo. Suparna’s new scheduled service will enable Liege to expand its Asian cargo network while supporting the evolving needs of cross-border trade and global logistics.
A spokesperson for Chongqing described the launch of Superna’s direct scheduled service as an “important step” in expanding the airport’s international cargo network.
“This new connection strengthens trade links with Europe and enhances Chongqing’s role as a key logistics hub in Western China,” the spokesperson continued.
