Twelve months after acquiring Staverton, Gama Aviation is offering enhanced capability for VIP, utility and air ambulance operators with the addition of Airbus H145 maintenance capabilities at its Gloucester Airport location.

The approval of Airbus H145 maintenance to its Staverton location augments Gama’s existing rotary maintenance facilities in Norwich and Glasgow and its mobile Maintenance Service Team (MST).

“The addition of this stye adds a new level of support to our existing air ambulance clients and opens a new maintenance location for aircraft based in the southwest, Wales and Midlands corridor,” said Paul Kinch, Managing Director, MRO at Gama Aviation.

While the group’s Glasgow facility will operate as the primary location for aircraft based in Scotland and the north of England, the load will be balanced between the Scottish hub and Gloucester to manage capacity.

The maintenance approval at Staverton completes a complement of engineering services available on site for Airbus H145, Leonardo AW169 and AW139 helicopters and positions Staverton as a primary maintenance hub to support the group’s ambitions in the UK rotary market.

“One of the major advantages for H145, AW139 and AW169 clients using this facility is that it offers a single hub for all engineering and maintenance requirements from major re-configurations, the addition of mission equipment to annual checks.” Concluded Kinch.
