With its new FBO at Sharjah International Airport set to open in 2025, Gama Aviation is already seeing an increase in business aviation traffic through its facility, particularly from Asian operators.

Offering a strategic alternative to Dubai International Airport for business aviation operators, Gama Aviation’s Sharjah FBO offers round-the-clock operations with zero slot restrictions and efficient turnaround procedures and taxi times.

Speaking at this week’s Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo (BAAFEx) being held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore this week, Tom Murphy, Director of FBO Services at Gama Aviation, underlined that the Sharjah facility is a strategical technical stop between the Far East, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“Our Sharjah FBO is already accommodating a growing volume of Asian operators seeking efficiency and convenience,” he said. “These operators greatly benefit from reduced turnaround times, dedicated fuelling, minimal taxi times and zero slot restrictions.”

Gama’s new Sharjah facility will not only improve existing operational efficiencies but also offer premium hangar space for Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets, with competitive lease rates and licensed engineers providing line maintenance for select airframes.

Further strengthening its position in the FBO market, and in addition to its Sharjah facility, Gama is set to break ground on another FBO facility in Jersey, Channel Islands, this year.
